  • Companion with Dixie and Helena
  • Companion was created by me,  photographer, Charles Carpino of Charles Dean Photography.
  • Companion with Dixie and Helena is an exceptional creation of a strong nude figure and her Maine Coon Cat keeping her company.
  • The original photo, Strength, was part of a figure study submitted as part of a fundraiser for Breast Cancer.
  • People often ask me how I get the cats to sit still.  I laugh because generally, cats do not sit still long enough. At least mine don’t.  I follow them with my camera, and with some luck, I can capture the perfect moment.  Patience is the key.
  • I enjoy adding an unexpected twist to my artwork, capturing the essence of my  subjects while exploring alternate presentations.
  • If you’re looking for more whimsical images that will capture your imagination, check out the Whimsical Animal Series.
  • Prints of this beautiful photograph are available in two sizes: 8″x8″ and 12″x12″ square.
  • They are printed on archival photo paper with a lustre coating, ensuring high durability, and are mounted on mat board for added support.
  • Please note that prints are unframed, and any framed images shown in the representation are for display purposes only.
  • About Charles Dean Photography:
  • At the age of 40, I received my first camera and swiftly developed a passion for black and white photography.
  • However, it wasn’t until I turned 53 that I decided to pursue my dream of mastering the art of portrait and product photography by attending and graduating from The Hallmark Institute of Photography.
  • Presently, I am the proprietor and photographer of Charles Dean Photography, providing a range of services to my clientele.
